Birth*Jonathan E. York was born circa 1813 in Nottingham, Rockingham County, New HampshireG.1 
Death*He died on 22 August 1884 in Deerfield, Rockingham County, New HampshireG.2 
In 1860 he was a farmer living with his probable parents Solomon and Patience York in Deerfield, NH. Also living there was 13 year old Mary York, who is likely the same as the 3 year old Mary P. Giles living with Solomon and Patience in the 1850 census ten years earlier. She is likely a relative of Patience, whose maiden name was Giles. In 1870 he was living in Deerfield, NH in the home of his probable sister Lavina Page and her husband John. 23 year old Mary P. York was with him once again.

He is probably the Jonathan E. York living as a boarder and farm labourer in the household of Charles and Hannah Tucker and family in Deerfield. He was 67 years old, born in N.H., and it said he was blind. This may explain why he was living with other family members in these censuses. He was living in Deerfield when he died, occupation farmer.

Susan is added her based solely on an ancestry.com death index that names her parents, but that index does not state the source of the information or give a link to a scan of the record so her connection to the familiy should be considered as unproven.

Death*John M. Smith died in 1848. 
There is no proof yet that the Comfort who married John Smith was daughter of Daniel, although Daniel's family in the 1850 census of Durham has a daughter Charlotte York, but also, further down in the family list, a 7-year-old Charlotte Smith.

At the time of their marriage they were both living in Newmarket, N.H.
