Death*He died on 28 September 1844 in Kensington, Rockingham County, New HampshireG. His death notice read: "In Kensington, Sept. 28th, Oren Selden, only child of Daniel G. and Betsey P. York, aged 3 months."2

Death*Patience Giles died between March 1864 and September 1864. A Revolutionary War pension record shows her last payment as being in Mar 1864, with the next scheduled on in September not being paid.1,4

Birth*Jonathan York was born circa 1814 in New HampshireG.1 
There is no proof that Jonathan belongs in this family. His presence here is based solely on his appearance with the family in the 1860 census. No relationships are provided by that census so he could be some other relation besides a son, but based on census records we know Solomon and Patience had at least two sons born in that time period.

There is no proof yet that the Comfort who married John Smith was daughter of Daniel, although Daniel's family in the 1850 census of Durham has a daughter Charlotte York, but also, further down in the family list, a 7-year-old Charlotte Smith.

At the time of their marriage they were both living in Newmarket, N.H.
