Death*Etta died on 26 April 1873, probably in Alton. It isn't certain yet that she died in Alton.2 
She is Etta A. in the 1860 census and Etta J. on her gravestone. Shackford calls her Betsey.

Marriage*He married second Lusetta F. Sargent, daughter of Joseph Sargent and Mary (?), on 24 November 1877 in Salisbury, Essex County, MassachusettsG. Their marriage was recorded both in Amesbury, Mass. (where the bride and groom both resided) and in Salisbury, where their clergyman, Albert Morton, was from. Salisbury is assumed to be their place of marriage but neither record actually states where it took place. At the time, Jacob worked as a hatter. It was the second marriage for both of them.2

Her stone was found in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Maine in 1995 without a death date, and on it her name was Eleanor C. Spaulding. Next to it was a stone for Edwin F. Spaulding, 1891-1966, who was probably her husband.1

Marriage*He married Sarah Simmons, daughter of John Simmons and Elizabeth Boynton. Probate and land records in Essex County, Massachusetts suggest that Maturin Rciker's wife may have been Sarah Simmons baptized at Bradford 4 August 1672 daughter of John and Elizabeth (Boynton) Simmons. The 1708 will of John Simmons includes a bequest to "Daughter Sarah alias reckords." (Essex County, MA: Probate File Papers, 1638-1881.)

On 20 March 1711/12 (deed recorded 23 February 1712/13), Sarah Ricker alias Records, widow of Dover in the province of New Hampshire, in consideration of the sum of fifteen pounds by Nathaniel Griffin, conveyed to Nathaniel Griffin a “twelve pound share” or “my part of fourscore acres of land that my Father John Simmons late of Bradford gave to me by his last will and testament bearing date March 11th 1708.” (Essex County Deeds, 26:109.)
