Jonas Laskey
M
This research is a work in progress, taken from sources of varying reliability. The information should be verified before being relied upon.
Birth* | Jonas Laskey was born. A Jonas, son of Jonas and Mary Laskey was baptized in Marblehead, Mass. on 14 September 1735. This Mary was likely Mary Trefry, according to a 12 November 1728 marriage record to Jonas.1 Marlbehead records show no deaths for either Jonas or Mary. Mary Trefry could also be a first wife for our Jonas, with the 1735 birth being a son by that first marriage as well. More research is necessary. |
Marriage* | He married second Elisabeth Baker, daughter of John Baker, on 8 August 1762 in Ipswich, Essex County, MassachusettsG. Jonas/Thomas was from Wenham, Mass. at the time of their marriage, and the Wenham record states that his name was Thomas but the marriage intention gave his name as 'Jones'.
This marriage record may pertain to some other Elizabeth Wallingford, but no other likely candidate is available at present.2,3 |

Job Clements
M, b. probably about 1717, d. before December 1810
This research is a work in progress, taken from sources of varying reliability. The information should be verified before being relied upon.
Birth* | Job Clements was born probably about 1717 probably in Dover, New HampshireG.1 |
Marriage* | He married first Margaret Garland, daughter of Ebenezer Garland and Abigail Powell, circa 1746, probably in Dover. Job and Margaret had no children.2 |
Marriage* | Job married second, Mary Roberts, circa 1753, probably in Dover. Job and Mary had two children.3.4 |
Marriage* | Job married third, Dorcas Ricker, circa 1762, probably in Somersworth, New HampshireG. Job and Dorcas had four children.5,6.4 |
Death* | Job died before December 1810, probably in Dover, Strafford County, New HampshireG. Administration on the estate of Job Clements of Dover was granted 1 December 1810.7 He doesn't appear in the 1810 census.2 |
| Both Job and Mary had a mother named Sarah Wallingford. Job's mother was granddaughter of the emigrant Nicholas and Mary's mother was great-granddaughter of the emigrant, so Job and Molly were second cousins once removed through the Wallingford line. Job began his life in the part of Dover which became Somersworth in 1754, and lived there until about 1772 when he removed to Rochester. He is listed in the 1790 census of both Rochester and Somersworth, perhaps because his farm straddled the border. In that census he is listed as living with two females. He was listed in Somersworth in 1800 with a male and female above 45 years and a female aged 26-45. At some point during the next ten years he moved back to Dover. He enlisted in Capt. John Tasker's Co., 31 July 1755, for the Expedition against Crown Point. Much more is written about him in the Clements genealogy.8 |

This research is a work in progress, taken from sources of varying reliability. The information should be verified before being relied upon.
Birth* | John Clements was born say 1730 probably in Dover, New HampshireG.1 |
Marriage* | He married Mary (?) probably about 1755.2 |
Death* | John died on 10 November 1757.2 |
| John was baptized with his sister Miriam in Dover on 22 May 1746.3 He wouldn't have been an infant at the time. He served in the French and Indian War and was at Crown Point. He re-entered service 4 March 1757 in Capt. John Titcomb's Company, and probably served until his death.4 His wife Mary was living, widowed, in Somersworth, when Tate enrolled the inhabitants in his diary in 1767. With her was Sarah Clements who was likely a daughter.5 The Clements Genealogy says they had one child who probably died young, but Tate wouldn't have recorded the daughter Sarah if she were deceased so if she did die young it must have been after 1767. |

M, b. circa January 1827, d. 24, 27 or 28 August 1864
This research is a work in progress, taken from sources of varying reliability. The information should be verified before being relied upon.
Birth* | Elbridge Colomy was born circa January 1827 in New HampshireG. (Based on the 1860 census and his age of 37y, 7m at death.) |
Marriage* | He married second Judith Wallingford, daughter of Lebanon Wallingfords, on 15 November 1847 in Dover, Strafford County, New HampshireG.1 |
Death* | Elbridge Colomy died from diarrhea and dropsy 24, 27 or 28 August 1864 at the Confederate prison in Andersonville, Sumter County, GeorgiaG. His tombstone is in the Evergreen Cemetery in Berwick, Maine (gives a date of the 24th) and states that he was a member of Co. C. of the 17th Maine during the Civil War, and tells where he died.2 He is actually buried in the large prison surrounding the Andersonville site rather than in Berwick, in grave number 7017. His Civil War pension records give the date as the 28th, which disagrees with the tombstone record, and another Civil War website, (source not recorded) gives the date as the 27th.3 |
| Elbridge enlisted in the 17th Maine at Berwick on or about the 25th of May, 1862 for a term of three years. He was captured in Virginia on 23 June 1864. The 17th Maine was located on Jerusalem Plank Road on the 22nd and 23d of June 1864. The 17th Maine was involved in some of the most serious engagements of the Civil War, including the battles of Fredricksburg, Chancellorsville, Gettysburg, The Wilderness, Spotsylvania Courthouse, and Cold Harbor. It was during the long siege of Petersburg, Virginia that Elbridge was captured. He arrived at Andersonville in reasonably good health but the harsh conditions of the prison ruined his health and he died a few months later. |

This research is a work in progress, taken from sources of varying reliability. The information should be verified before being relied upon.
Birth* | Reuben H. Wallingford was born circa 1841 in MaineG. (He was 29 in the 1870 census of Lebanon.) |
Marriage* | He married Patience Wallingford on 19 November 1864 in Berwick, York County, MaineG. They were both living in Berwick when they got married.1 |
| Both Reuben and Patience are currently unplaced in the genealogy. They appear on the 1870 census of Lebanon, Maine. He was a farm laborer who owned no land and they had no children listed with them.
A Reuben C. Wallingford, born in Maine, aged 18, enlisted in the Civil War in the 14th N.H. Regiment, Company F. substitute, on 2 August 1864. He was mustered that same day and discharged in Philadelphia on 31 May 1865. His service was credited to the town of Somersworth.2
A privately kept Lebanon death record book records the death of an Isaac Wallingford on 29 January 1885 "at Reuben Wallingford's".3 Who this Isaac is, is unproven at present, but he may be the son of William B. Wallingford and Joanna Pierce. |
