None of these variations come up in a search of an Italian surname mapping site, but variations like Alfarano and Galzarano do. Pasqualina (Bordieri) Morelli, 90, of Peabody and formerly of East Boston, died Monday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Morelli with whom she shared over 67 years of marriage. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Sabastiane and Concetta (Buccaragga) Bordieri. She was raised and educated in East Boston and has lived in Peabody for the past 22 years. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her daughter, Constance and her husband Patrick Panzini of Peabody and her son, Louis Morelli and his wife Denise of Salem, NH, she was the sister of Josephine, Paul and Salvatore Bordieri, sister-in-law of Jeannie Licciardi of Andover, and loving grandmother of Eric and his wife Palmina, Paul and his wife Alana, and Nicholas and Leah, also survived by three great grandchildren, Luca, Ariella, and Ashton, and by several nieces and nephews. Pasqualina was a seamstress and stitcher for many years, mostly doing wedding gowns in Boston. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St, Peabody with burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Lake St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St, Danvers, MA.4 |
