| When they were married in Jun 1951 Charles was a plumber living with his parents at 236 Saratoga Street in East Boston and Filomena (the name she still went by on her marriage record) was a secretary living at 1062 Bennington Street in East Boston. They were still at that address in Oct 1953 when their daughter Anne was born. Charles was still a plumber. |
| His obituary appeared in the 28 January 1995 Daily Item of Lynn and read as follows:
SAUGUS - Charles A. Stella, 66, of Athens Drive, died Friday at his home after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Phyllis (Martucci) Stella. Born and raised in East Boston, the son of Joseph Stella of Peabody and the late Anna (Bordieri) Stella, he lived in Saugus for the past 23 years. Mr. Stella was a Navy veteran of World War II. He served as plumbing and gas inspector for the Town of Saugus for the past 12 years. He also was a member of the St. Francis Council No. 2962, Knights of Columbus, East Boston, and the Fourth Degree Bishop Cheverus Assembly. He also leaves a daughter, Anne Fraser of Salem; two brothers, Paul Stella of Lynnfield and Joseph Stella of Beverly; two sisters, Maryann Salamone of Peabody and Angela Hatch of Dorchester. The funeral will be from the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Monday at 9 a.m., followed by Mass in St. Anthony's Church, Revere, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.4 |
