Death*Estes probably died, on 3 August 1813, at age 12. He was buried in the Cassville Cemetery in Cassville, Stanstead County, Quebec. The age on his gravestone was 12 years, 11 months. His is the oldest stone currently in existence in this particular cemetery..2
One IGI record has this person as Ester Waling Wallingford, a female, born on the same date, but there are five other IGI records that show him as a male named Estis or Estes. It is possible that they were twins, one Estis and one Ester, but for now we will leave 'them' as one male named Estis.

Birth*Ives Wallingford was born on 9 April 1805 or 1809 in Milton, Strafford County, New HampshireG. The Locke Genealogy says he was born 9 April 1809, but the 1850 census has him as aged 45 and his age at death would place his birth on 9 April 1805. The town of birth is taken from an IGI record. His death record states only that he was born in N.H.1
Marriage*He married Maria O. Locke, daughter of James Munroe Locke and Abigail Sherburne, in 1827. The Locke Genealogy states that they were married about 18302, but their son George appears to have been aged 52 in1880, implying an earlier date for their marriage.
Death*Ives died of "old age", on 21 February 1884, in Watervliet, Berrien County, MichiganG.3
He settled as a farmer in Columbia, Michigan in 1836.2,4 Based on the places of birth of his children given in the 1850 census it appears that the family left Canada between 1830 and 1832. By about 1838 they were in Ohio, and about 1844 were in Illinois. In 1850 he was living in Division No. 10 of Berrien County, Michigan as a 45-year-old shoemaker born in New Hampshire. With him were his wife Maria, age 43 born in Canada, daughter Maria age 18 born in Canada, daughter Ann L. age 12 born in Ohio, and son James E. age 6 born in Illinois.5
On 6 July 1870 Ives and his wife Maria and their son James were enumerated in the census of Watervliet, Berrien Co., Michigan. Ives was listed as 65-year old a shoemaker born in New Hampshire and Maria a 69-year old house-keeper born in Canada. James was 26 and born in Illinois and his occupation reads either "Rit Grocer" or "Ret Grocer". "Ret" could stand for retired, but at 26 this seems unusual, unless he was disabled in some way. Ives' real estate was worth $2000 and his personal estate worth $600.

Birth*Calvin Wallingford was born on 8 August 1812 in Stanstead, Quebec, CanadaG.1
Marriage*He married Elvira Lee, daughter of Jonathan Lee and Mary Moulton, on 1 January 1835.2
The family was living in Conneaut, Ohio when the 1840 census was taken. The index references him as "Calone" Wallingford, but the original reads "Calvin". Only two people were accounted for in the family, a male 20-29 and a female 20-29, presumably Calvin and his wife Elvira. Three lines away was the listing for his mother Abigail Wallingford.3
The family was still in Conneaut in the 1850 census, where Calvin's occupation was given as shoemaker and he owned real estate worth $1500.4

He was living in Cleveland, Ohio in 1898.5

Sue Brown, a descendant of Calvin's wife Elvira's brother the Rev. Addi Lee, is in possession of several letters from Calvin to Rev. Lee. They were difficult to read, but she offers some partial transcripts below:

     Conneaut, August 13, 1837
"Mother Wallingfords family are all well she lives in her new house. It is only a few rods from ours. Gilbert is at home. Fanny is teaching school here she has a room in one Chambly Estrs(?) is learning a trade and Rosanna with us." [They lived in Conneaut, Ohio at the time. Gilbert and Fanny are his brother and sister. 'Estrs(?)' is likely his brother Estes. Rosanna may refer to his sister Roxanna, although we have a death date of 1804 for her so something is amiss.]

This next one is from Elvira's sister Mary Lee Morrill to her brother the Rev. Lee:
     Stanstead, Quebec, March 30, 1842
"I have heard of the death of Emma Webster she that was Emma Wallingford. One short year only had she been married when death tore her from the embrace of him she loved."

Another letter from Mary to Addi:
     Stanstead, November 18, 1845
"I had a letter from Calvins people last summer they still live in
Conneaut have two children I believe I wrote to you that one was named Addi Lee:

     Letter from Calvin
     Conneaut, July 14, 1850
"...a great many gone from this vicinity to California within the last year but no returns of money yet. My brother Estes is among those that have gone. He left a wife and child at St Louis. I have not heard from him since he got fairly at work."

     Letter from Calvin
     Conneaut, March 3, 1851
"I am still at work hammering the boards together can make a living at but can't get ahead much. I average from seven to eight dollars per week and that will support us here where we can get provisions so cheap". [This makes it sound like he is a carpenter, but the 1850 census called him a shoemaker. Perhaps he was referring to the soles of shoes when he said "boards".]

In a letter from Calvin in Sept. 1852 he mentions that he has two
brothers in Boston and vicinity. He does not mention them by name, but this probably refers to Lyman, Gilbert and/or Samuel.

A letter from Calvin to Addi:
     Conneaut, June 16, 1853
"I have been trying for some days to get my mind in a state to write but as I cant so I will not wait any longer. I dont know how to tell you of our loss. I sent you a paper you have doubtless got before now in which you are advised of the death of our little boy he was sick only about 3 weeks but he had not had very good health for 2 or 3 months, after we began to doct him he failed very fast...we have no fears as to the welfare of our little Addi he was a good boy and we trust he is now where pain and suffering can no more come".

Sue Brown states that in all of the letters she saw no mention of a child named Eugene, so there may not have been such a child in the family, or he may have been born after 1860 when the letters stop.6

Marriage*She married Aaron Bailey, son of Daniel Bailey and Rebekah Farnsworth, on 17 May 1785 in Hollis, Hillsborough County, New HampshireG. At the time of their marriage Elizabeth and Aaron were both "of Hollis".2
Death*Elizabeth died possibly on 4 August 1814. An Elizabeth Bailey, age 47, wife of Deacon Aaron Bailey, is buried in the Attica Center Cemetery, Attica, New York, having died on this date.3
His father gave him fifty acres of land on which he built a house. He also kept a West India goods store there. This business ended up a failure after his creditors foreclosed on the property. The family later moved to northern New York. The places of birth of his children aren't given but presumably took place in the Hollis, N.H. area.4

In the 1790 census of Hollis Aaron Bailey is living with two females and one male under 16, which would indicate that they had two children, a boy and a girl, by this point.5 Ten years later the family is much larger, with four boys and two girls, still living in Hollis.6 In both cases there appears to be one girl born before 1790, which is additional evidence for the existence of the daughter Susannah, despite her omission from Spaulding's "An Account of Some of the Early Settlers of West Dunstable, Monson, and Hollis, N.H."

Chamberlain's Lebanon, Maine Genealogies says that he "may have been the son of Moses Wallingford", while Shackford guesses that he may be son of Moses' brother Joshua.4 For the time being he will be left unattached in the "Lebanon Wallingfords" section of this genealogy.

The 1908 obituary of their son Charles states that Charles was the last living one of eleven children of his parents, so a number of children are unaccounted for. It also said that his last living sister was buried on his last birthday, meaning 11 Nov 1907. Who this sister is is unknown at present.

Death*Hannah died in 1865, probably in Barrington, Strafford County, New HampshireG. She was buried in Pine Grove Cemetery in Barrington, N.H.3, but it isn't certain yet that she died there.
Shackford speculates that she was one of the 32 children of Joshua Wallingford of Lebanon, Maine, but provides no proof so she will be left unconnected. Hannah and Turner were living in Barrington, N.H. in 1849.4
