Birth* | Addi Lee Wallingford was born about 1843/44 in OhioG. He was aged 6 in the 1850 census of Conneaut, Ohio. In a letter from his aunt Mary (Lee) Morrill to her brother the Rev. Addi Lee dated Stanstead, Quebec on November 18, 1845, she wrote (in part), "I had a letter from Calvins people last summer they still live in Conneaut have two children I believe I wrote to you that one was named Addi Lee."1 |
Death* | Addi died before 16 June 1853 in Conneaut, Ashtabula County, OhioG. A letter from his father to their relatives back in Canada is dated Conneaut on 16 June 1853 and reads, in part: "I have been trying for some days to get my mind in a state to write but as I cant so I will not wait any longer. I dont know how to tell you of our loss. I sent you a paper you have doubtless got before now in which you are advised of the death of our little boy he was sick only about 3 weeks but he had not had very good health for 2 or 3 months, after we began to doct him he failed very fast...we have no fears as to the welfare of our little Addi he was a good boy and we trust he is now where pain and suffering can no more come".1 |

Appointed 2nd Lieutenant, 2nd U.S. Cavalry, 28 July 1866, 1st Lieutenant, 8 June 1867. Dismissed 10 May 1870. All information on him presently comes from this one source.1 |
