Atkins; her daughter and one son, Kent W. Atkins of this city. Mrs. Atkins had lived thirty-three years in the house at 1115 Cleveland and fifty years in this city. She was 81 years old.4

When Kent married his second wife Alvina in Mar 1916 they were both living in Kansas City, Missouri. He and his third wife Angeline were living at 2613 Kent Street in Los Angeles, California when they married in Jan 1929. It was the third marriage for both of them, and both had been widowed and divorced. She went by the surname of Van Dorn at the time. Kent worked as a florist.

When he married his fourth wife Minnie in 1939 at the age of 70 he was living in Noel, Missouri and she was living in Kensas City, Missouri going by the surname of Bottoms - likely an earlier spouse.

His obituary appeared in the 9 October 1960 Kansas City Star and read as follows:

Kent W. Atkins 93, of 1111 Cleveland, died yesterday at a convalescent home at 1900 Linwood after an illness of three months. Mr. Atkins was a lifelong resident of Kansas City. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Minnie Atkins of the home, and one grandson. Funeral services will be at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday at the Blackman Chapel; burial in Elmwood Cemetery.8
