Marriage*He married Rachael Gertrude Abrams, daughter of Robert Abrahams and Elizabeth Aarons, on 8 May 1938 in Brookline, Norfolk County, MassachusettsG.3 
Death*Samuel Joseph Rosenberg died of a heart attack on 20 August 1980 at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Middlesex County, MassachusettsG.4 
Burial*He was buried on 22 August 1980 at Sharon Memorial Park in Sharon, Norfolk County, MassachusettsG.4 
His obituary appeared in the 22 August 1980 Boston Globe and read as follows:

ROSENBERG--On Wednesday, Aug 20. Samuel J. "Lefty," of 32 Whites Ave., Watertown, beloved husband of Rachael Gertrude (Abrams) Rosenberg; devoted father of Laurence B. Rosenberg of Needham. and Robert L. Rosenberg of Newport News. Va; loving grandfather of Jeffrey D. and Amy-Beth Rosenberg; brother of Sue Leon of New York. Services at Temple Israel, Longwood Ave. and Plymouth St., Boston, on Friday, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m. Memorial Week at his late residence. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in his memory may be made to Temple Israel, Boston. Arrangements by Levine Chapel, BROOKLINE.5

Death-SSDI*He died on 8 February 2005, and according to the Social Security Death index his last place of residence was Newport News, VirginiaG.2 
When they married in Aug 1969 Robert was a chauffeur living at 20 Buckminster Road in Brookline and Meryl was a secretary living at 24 Frances Road in Woburn, Mass.

He was living in Newport News, Virginia when his parents died in 1980. He and Meryl had no children according to their divorce record. When they were divorced in 1977 Robert was living at 11737 Jefferson Avenue Apt 44-A in Newport News and Meryl was living at 24 Frances Road in Woburn, Mass.

He may be the Charles W. Atkins, age 16, living in Mt. Vernon, Maine as a servant and farm laborer in a household headed by a Benjamin Davis in the 1880 census. His mother had died in 1876 and his stepfather Albion Gordon's 1880 census record does not record Charles.
