His parents were living at 67 Hathorne Street in Salem when he was born.1

Merrimac - Brett Thomas Burkinshaw, 47, died Thursday evening, July 1, 2021, at High Pointe House in Haverhill, Mass., after a valiant 19-month battle with glioblastoma brain cancer. He was born on August 1, 1973, in Salem, Mass., to Thomas and Claudette (Daigle) Burkinshaw. He was a graduate of Pentucket High School, class of 1991, where he was a standout baseball player. Following his graduation, he furthered his education by attending Salem State College. Brett began the career that he loved at the age of 16 when he became a Call Firefighter for the West Newbury Fire Department. During and after his college years, he was employed at the Essex County Sheriff's Department. He then became a Call Firefighter for the Newburyport Fire Department in 2003 before being hired as a full-time Firefighter in 2010. He was also a Reserve for the Newburyport Police Department, as well as the Fire Alarm Superintendent in Newburyport. Brett was a tireless worker. On the side, he was a Strobe Light Technician installing lights for several municipalities and private vehicles for many years. Brett enjoyed attending concerts over the years, especially AC/DC, as he was their number one fan. He was an animal lover, fondly referred to by his family as "Dr. Doolittle." He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family on the Cape. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his daughter, Emma. In addition to his parents, Brett is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Cheryl (Briggs) Burkinshaw of Merrimac and their daughter Emma; siblings, Kate Byrne and her husband Paul of Merrimac, and Gregg Burkinshaw and his wife Danielle of Merrimac; nieces and nephews, Quinn, Jack, Beau, Angelina and Bradley; as well as his sister-in-law Paige Perry and her husband Glenn of Truro, Mass. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High St., Newburyport, MA 01950. There is no longer any parking available behind the funeral home per order of the City of Newburyport. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Immaculate Conception Church in Newburyport. Family has asked that anyone attending the Mass go directly to the church. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Brett's name to the National Brain Tumor Society.4
Nancy Elizabeth Flynn died of respiratory failure and pneumonia due to COPD on 19 June 2021 at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill, Essex County, MassachusettsG.3
When Robert and Nancy were married in June 1953 he was in the Air Force and living with his parents at 44 Broad Street in Salem, Essex County, MassachusettsG.2
Nancy was living with her parents at 109 Mason Street in Salem at the time.2
In 1954 and 1956, when their first two children were born, Robert and Nancy were living at 29 Linden Street in Peabody, Essex County, MassachusettsG. Robert was employed as an apprentice electrician at the time.4
When their last three daughters were born from 1961 to 1968 Robert and Nancy were living at 13 MacArthur Road in Peabody. Robert by this point was a working electrician.5

Nancy E (Flynn) Dolan, 87, of Amesbury and formerly of Peabody and Salem, passed peacefully Saturday morning with her family by her side at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert J Dolan with whom she shared over 68 years of marriage. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late James and Louise (Casey) Flynn, she was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of St. James High School, class of 1951. Upon her marriage to Robert, she moved to Peabody and lived there for over 48 years. She has spent the last 20 years living in Amesbury. Nancy was employed for over 40 years as an administrative assistant with the United States Federal Government for the FAA and IRS before retiring in 1999. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, bowling, and did volunteer work for the meals on wheels program in Amesbury. While living in Peabody, the Dolan family was known to have several pool parties for the neighbors, family, and friends. Her favorite activity though was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and sharing in all their endeavors. She will be dearly missed by all. Nancy is survived by her loving children, Paul and his wife Sara Dolan of Amesbury, Cheryl Dolan and her husband Jim DeWolf of Merrimac, Beth Dolan, Linda and her husband Bob Birmingham, and Julie Dolan, all of Amesbury, and is also survived by her devoted nine grandchildren, Mike and Dan Dolan, Liz and Brendan DeWolf, Kim, Colleen, and Bobby Liffers, and Patrick and Brian Birmingham, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her three brothers and sister, Donald, James, and William Flynn, and Louise Brennan. Following cremation, visiting hours will be held on Friday from 9:00 AM until 11:45 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St, Peabody, followed by her Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM at St. Ann’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Cedar Grove, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to American Lung Association.6
