Henry M. Wallingford, 83, of Marblehead, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House on July 9, 2014. He was the wife of Natalie (Prestat) Wallingford with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Henry and Lena (Comeau) Wallingford. Raised and educated in East Weymouth, Henry was a graduate of Weymouth High School. He was a proud Korean War Veteran serving overseas in the United States Army. He worked as a maintenance carpenter in Lynn for many years. Henrys biggest hobby was spending time at the Danvers Fish and Game Club where he enjoyed target shooting. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Jane L. Sullivan and her husband Ed of Merrimack, NH, and Dean H. Wallingford and his wife Heidi of Danvers; five grandchildren, Hunter, Ariana, and Chloe Wallingford, and Matthew, and Hannah Sullivan; and two great-grandsons, Avery, and Tiberius. Visiting hours were held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Tuesday, July 15 from 9:30-11AM followed by a graveside service with honors at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake Street, Peabody at 11:30AM.3 |
