Birth*She was born circa 1798 in Wakefield, Strafford County, New HampshireG. (Place of birth is confirmed by her son Winthrop's death certificate.)2,3 
Marriage*She married Peter Wallingford, son of David Wallingford and Sarah Corson, on 4 May 1817.4 
She was living in the household of her daughter Clara Martin in Somersworth, N.H. when the 1850, 1860 and 1870 censuses were taken.

Birth*Winthrop W. Wallingford was born circa 1819 in Milton, Strafford County, New HampshireG. (Based on his death certificate and 1850 census.) 
Marriage*He married Candace Chellis, daughter of William Chellis and Mary Bartlett, on 22 March 1848 in Nashville, Davidson County, TennesseeG. They filed a marrige intention in Lowell, Mass. on 25 February 1848. At that time Winthrop was from Lowell and Candace was from Nashua, N.H.12 
Death*Winthrop died of heart disease on 2 February 1861 in Lawrence, Essex County, MassachusettsG.3 
W.W. Wallingford, age 31, a manufacturer born in N.H. and Candace Wallingford, age 25, born in N.H., are found in the 1850 census of Dracut, Mass.4 They had no children.5

Marriage*She married Winthrop W. Wallingford, son of Peter Wallingford and Sarah Sherburn Watson, on 22 March 1848 in Nashville, Davidson County, TennesseeG. They filed a marrige intention in Lowell, Mass. on 25 February 1848. At that time Winthrop was from Lowell and Candace was from Nashua, N.H.34 
Death*Candace died on 25 January 1905 in Newport, Sullivan County, New HampshireG. She was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Bradford, NH.5

Marriage*He married second Candace Chellis, daughter of William Chellis and Mary Bartlett, on 19 February 1872 in Bradford, Merrimack County, New HampshireG. Their marriage, recorded in Lowell, Mass. but occurring in Bradford, N.H., stated that Hugh was a "proprietor of medicine" and living in Lowell and Candace was living in Lawrence, Mass. It was the second marriage for both of them.1

Birth*Clara Mathes Wallingford was born on 2 July 1826 in Hill, Merrimack County, New HampshireG.1 
Marriage*She married William B. Martin, son of John Martin and Clarissa (?), on 7 February 1848 in Lowell, Middlesex County, MassachusettsG. He was from Somersworth, N.H. and she was from Lowell when they were married.2,3 
Death*Clara died on 17 February 1903 in Somersworth, Strafford County, New HampshireG.1 
When they were married William's occupations was given as "merchant". When the 1850 census was taken William was a 24-year old trader, born in N.H., and Clara was also 24 and born in N.H. With them was their one-year old daughter Abby, who was called Alice ten years later in the 1860 census, and Clara's mother Sarah, age 52, born N.H.4 In that 1860 census William was a 34-year old merchant with real estate worth $3300 and personal property worth $606 and Clara was 33. Both were born in N.H., as were all of the five children living with them. Clara's mother Sarah was still with them, aged 62, born Maine.5 In 1870 they were still in Somersworth. William was now a 44 year-old Expressman and Clara was also 44. Their four youngest children were with them. Only Alice wasn't there. Clara's mother was still there, aged 73, but it said she was born in N.H. this time.

Birth*William B. Martin was born circa 1826. He was 22 when he married, 24 in the 1850 census and 81 when he died. His parentage comes from his marriage record.1 
Marriage*He married Clara Mathes Wallingford, daughter of Peter Wallingford and Sarah Sherburn Watson, on 7 February 1848 in Lowell, Middlesex County, MassachusettsG. He was from Somersworth, N.H. and she was from Lowell when they were married.1,2 
Death*William died on 30 May 1908.3
