Some of the death notices for his son Capt. John West Atkins of Boston styled Henry as "Capt. Henry Atkins of Boston" in 1813.

Records of the New North Church in Boston record the marriage of a Henry Atkins to Elizabeth Mackay on 4 Feb 1762. This likely refers to an unrelated Henry Atkins, but could conceivably be a first marriage for this Henry.3
From the 3 February 1798 Amherst Village Messenger of Amherst, New Hampshire: Capt. Henry Atkins, in the brig Juno of Boston, has been taken by the French and condemned: he was bound from Charleston to St. Jago de Cuba; which latter place he was carried into--and his papers after being in the hands of the privateersmen for several days were given to the French Consul, and laid loose in his office for two or three days more; when they were packed up and sent to Cape Francois, were Capt. A. prepared to defend the property.--Immediately after his arrival, the papers were examined by the judges, and his Invoice, Letters of Instruction, and Role d' Equipage found missing. Capt. Atkins finding he had been robbed of the most valuable papers and being well assured, that the want of the latter would be greatly against him, lost no time in protesting against the agent of the republic, for his unjustifiable conduct, and destroying these papers: but in one hour the tribunal passed judgment against him, for want of his Role d' Equipage; he then petitioned the commission for the suspension of their final judgment, in order that he might procure from the collector of the port of Charlestown, a certificate that he had signed and delivered him a Role d' Equipage; but his petition was ineffectual. Capt. Atkins then took passage for Norfolk, where he arrived a few days since..4

On the record of his second marriage in 1804 he is said to be "of P.Town," and she was Lydia Snow. While Silas was born in Truro he had raised his first family in Provincetown. The marriage record did not call either one of them widowers, and this is from the record of Rev. Jude Damon and he frequently refers to individuals as widow or widower in his other marriage notices. Proof of the marriage currently rests solely on online family trees on ancestry and wikitree that all show these two people being married. More research is necessary.

Burial*He was buried in Hamilton Cemetery in Provincetown.4
Captain Joseph Atkins lived in one of the grandest homes in Provincetown, built around the 1830s at 160 Commercial Street, better known today as the Grozier or Cabral House. Grozier from Edwin Atkins Grozier, owner of the Boston Post newspaper, who was the nephew of Joseph Atkin's son William and purchased the house after William died. Opposite his home, Joseph built the Central Wharf, around 1839, at what is now 163 Commercial. The 1,000-foot pier had a marine railway, sheds for various crafts and trades, and four ballast rooms. It was destroyed or badly damaged in the Portland Gale of 1898. (The storm takes its name from the passenger steamboat Portland, which went down with the loss of 150 to 200 lives.) Atkins, along with his partner David Fairbanks, was proprietor of the Central Wharf Company's general store. The Central Wharf Company described itself in an 1885 advertisement as: “Packers of mackerel and dealers in ship chandlery [candles, wax, soap], ship stores [operating and maintenance supplies and equipment], seamen’s outfits, groceries and provisions, paints, oils, wood and coal, salt, fish barrels and packages, dry and pickled fish, etc., etc.”² They were also agents for Brand’s Patent Bomb Lance, a rocket-propelled whaling harpoon tipped with an explosive shell designed to go off on impact with the giant creature.5,6

  4. Several online trees state that they were married in Provincetown, but the marriage itself is recorded in Boston. This error probably stems from the fact that the date of their marriage is recorded in the Provincetown records on the page that records the births of their children there. That source gives a date of May 20th rather than the 21st. but as it is secondary to the Boston record, we'll assume the 21st is the correct date.
