Marriage*She married Seth Nickerson III, son of Seth Nickerson Jr. and Phebe Hopkins, on 20 January 1834 in Provincetown. They were first cousins.3,2 
Death*Ruth Atkins died on 15 February 1875.2 
They kept a family Bible with a lot of information in it, and their children and grandchildren are outlined in the newspaper article about the Bible. They had five children recorded in Provinceton vital records.2,4

Death*William A. Atkins died on 7 April 1897 in Provincetown.3 
He worked for the Central Wharf Company in Provincetown that was started by his father, eventually being at the helm of the company for many years until 1864. Two years after that he took ownership of a Provincetown-built whaling schooner, the William A. Grozier. He owned this ship until at least 1886, by which time he was one of the wealthiest, if not the wealthiest, man in Provincetown.4,5
