| Their marriage announcement appeared in the 19 September 1889 Daily Evening Item of Lynn, Massachusetts and read as follows: Dwinell-Laighton. A brilliant wedding took place at No. 27 Phillips avenue, Wednesday evening, the contracting parties being Carroll A. Dwinell and Miss Cora E. Laighton, both of Lynn. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. A. Williams in his usual pleasing manner. The bride was attired in brown satin with pearl passementarie. After congratulations a collation was served. Arthur Townsend, Charles E. Whitney and C. Everett Fogg acted as ushers. Friends were present from Lynn, Swampscott and Saugus. Many beautiful and costly presents were received by the happy pair, who left this morning on the 7:10 train for a trip to Lowell, Vermont. The bridegroom, C. A. Dwinell, is the gentlemanly proprietor of the gent's furnishing store, 269 Union street, and the bride is the youngest daughter of L. P. Laighton, of this city. Among the many friends present were noticeable Mr. and Mrs. James Wheeler, of Swampscott, who celebrated their golden wedding six years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Dwinell, on their return, will reside at 14 Friend street place, where they will be pleased to receive their friends.4
