| Ludwig was a teacher in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He served only briefly in the German army during World War I during part of the year 1918. His teaching duties gave him an exemption for most of the war, and a weak heart ended his duty before the war ended.4 In April 1919 he moved to Herne in Westphalia where he taught in the Herne Gymnasium (High School).5 His gravestone refers to him as "Dr." Ludwig Siebert. |
