At the time of their marriage in Jul 1966 Allana worked as a clerk and was living on Oak Hill Road in Concord, N.H. and Lyman was a student living on Pittsfield Road in Chichester.
Their marriage announcement appeared in the 16 July 1966 Concord Monitor of Concord, New Hampshire and read as follows: Parker Weds Mitchell. Rev. H. Franklin Parker, father of the bridegroom, officiated when Miss Allan Lister Mitchell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allan L. Mitchell of Oak Hill Road, was married to Lyman Hussey Parker. Mr. Parker is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Parker of Chichester. The marriage took place at Chichester Congregational Church, of which Rev. Mr. Parker is pastor. A reception at Abbott House, Concord, followed the ceremony. The bride, escorted by her father, wore a bell-skirted gown of embroidered organza, made with detachable train. Her shoulder-length bouffant silk illusion veil was attached to a crown of pearls and lace. She carried a bouquet of white roses and daisies, with ivy. Miss Kaile Mitchell, her sister's maid of honour, wore a gown of pink silk organza, made with white train attached at the waist. Her veil matched her gown, and she carried an arrangement of white daisies, pink roses and ivy. Bridesmaids, gowned like the maid of honor, were the Misses Jacquelyn Lull of Andover, a cousin of the bride, and Donna Mattice of Chichester and Bonnie Bowlby of Concord. Their flowers were white daisies. Carleton Deming of Concord, a college classmate of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Frederick and Alan Shaw of Chichester, and Gale Marston, a cousin of the bridegroom, also of Chichester. Sophia Ollis of Enfield, a cousin of the bride, was flower girl. She carried pink daisies and wore a headband of these flowers. Michael Upton and David Upton, sons of Mr. and Mrs. John Upton, Concord, were page and ring-bearer. Miss Linda Wladkowski of Chichester was organist. Jean Ollis of Enfield attended the guest book at the reception. Mrs. Mitchell chose for her daughter's wedding an aqua linen sheath, and matching accessories. The bridegroom's mother wore a pale yellow sheath, with white accessories. Both had corsages of yellow roses. Among the guests also were Mrs. Alice Marston, grandmother of the bridegroom, and Mrs. Cora Taylor and Mrs. Edith Mitchell, grandmothers of the bride. All wore pink dresses and corsages of white rosebuds. For the couple's trip to Cape Cod the bride had selected a brown linen sheath with beige accessories and yellow rose corsage. Mrs. Parker is a 1964 alumna of Concord High School and is employed by the United Life and Accident Insurance Co. Mr. Parker is an alumnus of the University of New Hampshire and was graduated from Concord Commercial College this year.3
