	His obituary appeared in the 10 May 2009 New Hampshire Sunday News of Manchester, New Hampshire and read as follows: CANAAN -- Elwin H. Grace, 88, died May 6, 2009, at Clough Center in New London after a long illness. He was born in Orange on Aug. 3, 1920, to George Alfred Grace Sr. and Lottie (Osborne) Grace. He married Mary Frances Mitchell on March 29, 1941, and they were married for 56 years until her death on Feb. 22, 1997. He married Ruby Towers on Oct. 9, 1999. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 55. He was a member of the Fish and Game Club, Canaan Lions Club, Cardigan Mountain Snowmobile Club, Cardigan Mountain Squares and Canaan Volunteer Fire Department. He started his working career as a foreman on bridge construction working for Sam Daniels of Daniels Construction in Lebanon and went on to work for ED Swett out of Concord, working there until his retirement in 1982. In addition to his wife, Ruby, of Enfield, the family includes daughters Jean Ollis of Enfield and Linda Lashua of Canaan; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister Evelyn Bentley of Bradenton, Fla; and brother George Grace Jr. of Canaan. SERVICES: A calling hour is Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. Ricker Funeral Home, Enfield, with the funeral at 3 p.m. in Canaan United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Roy Richardson officiating. Both calling hours and the funeral are for immediate and extended family. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, New Hampshire Office.5

	His obituary appeared in the 6 April 2018 Valley News of West Lebanon, New Hampshire and read as follows: CANAAN, N.H. - Donald E. Lashua, 71, also known as Skinny or Muldoone to many of his friends, passed away in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Eben & Ethel (Hillsgrove) Lashua. He grew up in Canaan and attended Canaan schools. He married his high school sweetheart, Linda Grace on April 25, 1964. Following school, he began working for ED Swett Construction as a crane operator doing bridge construction. He later built houses and operated heavy equipment for Milne Construction, served as the road agent for the town of Canaan and then operated heavy equipment for the town of Enfield and Remacle Construction. Don enjoyed snowmobiling and competed in many races. He enjoyed both fishing and ice fishing, hunting and visiting casinos. He found great enjoyment in woodworking and building furniture for his family. One of his favorite things to do was watching his son, grandsons and friends competing in Auto racing and helping with their race cars. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Linda Lashua; two children Lisa Davis and Donnie Lashua and his wife Leanne; four grandchildren Ashley Davis and Andy, Mitchell Davis and Krystal, Matthew Lashua and Sam, Meagan Lashua and Todd; five great grandchildren Aubriana, Tanner, Kylee, Levi and Abigail; a brother Gerald Lashua. He was predeceased by a sister Helen Neily. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Kathy Neily and significant other Richie Labounty, Shirley Neily and Kevin Lashua. There will be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to Don's Memorial celebration of life at the Enfield Community Center, Rt 4 Enfield on Sunday, April 15 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to Canaan Fast Squad, P.O. Box 35, Canaan, NH.3

Evans, 80, of Evans Lane, died yesterday at White River Junction, Vt., VA Hospital. He was born in Wilmot, the son of Stephen and Mabel (Mills) Evans. He lived in Canaan for the past 60 years. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Evans worked on bridge construction for the State of New Hampshire for 15 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jeanne (Mitchell) Evans of Canaan; two sons, Ronald Evans and Rick Evans, both of Canaan; two daughters, Joy Roberts of Amherst and Donna Burke of New Smyrna Beach, Fla; a sister, Ruth Brown of Canaan; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A son, Allan Evans, died in 1993; and two brothers, Carl Evans and Maurice Evans, and a sister, Ethel Portigue, died previously. Memorial services will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNA of Vermont and New Hampshire, Attn: Jane Marx, Canaan Office, 325 Mount Support Road, Lebanon 03766.
