| His obituary appeared in the 4 June 2022 Daily Item and read as follows:
Nahant - Martin Lucantonio passed away June 1, 2022 sometime after midnight peacefully, in his sleep. Martin, 66, born August of 1955, had been suffering from various medical problems for decades. Martin, the son of Marjorie and Romano Lucantonio, is survived by his two brothers and respective sister in-laws; Mark and Mark's wife Jean Lucantonio, Michael and Michael's wife Becky Lucantonio. To say that Marty was well like in his town of Nahant would be an extreme understatement. Marty was widely known and respected in the town of Nahant and its native population as well is many "new comers" to the town. Marty was revered by the Town administrative team, DPW, Police and Fire Departments. Marty would frequent the Fire Department for dinners and "movie" night with the NFD fire fighters. The comradery within, borders on epic. Marty worked part time for the DPW since the passing of his mother in late 2000. Marty was figuratively and literally a very special town fixture and will be sorely missed for decades to come and will live in Nahant lore for even longer.2 |
