KENNEBUNK, Maine -- Kathleen Elizabeth Dolan, 75, of Webber Hill Road, Kennebunk, formerly of Salem and Nashua, N.H., died June 8, 2007 in her home after a long illness in the loving care of her husband Edward. Kathleen was born in Salem on May 29, 1932, a daughter of George and Katherine Fay Golsby. She graduated from St. James High School in Salem and went on to further her education in business college. While looking for an apartment to lease, she met her future husband Edward J. Dolan. They married on Oct. 17, 1959 and celebrated almost 48 wonderful years together. Kathleen was a receptionist for Dr. John V. Cunny, MD in Salem, during the 1960s and for Dr. Raymond Sirois, DDS in Nashua, during the 1970s. She enjoyed meeting people and made everyone feel that they were old friends soon after meeting them. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling. She and Ed twice traveled across country on old Route 66. They made many friends along the way. ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 12 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. A funeral service will be held at St. Martha's Church on Portland Road, Kennebunk on Wednesday, June 13 at 10 a.m. Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 163 Lancaster St., Suite 160B, Portland, ME. Arrangements are under the care of Bibber Memorial Chapel.4 |
