| Her Ancestry Family Tree record suggests she had three husbands and one son by one of them. Two of their names are private but one says 'Solomon', but whether that is first or last name is unclear. Her surname there was Walker so presumably one of her husbands was named Walker.1 |

| Her legal birth name was Amelia but she always went by the name Mary. Apparently there was another Amelia in her class so she took the name Mary so it wouldn't be confusing. She had a long and happy marriage to her husband Jack, a doctor and artist - and was always the 'strong one' in their family and looked after everyone with great dignity. She also was talented as a writer.3 |
| The name on her birth record was Amelia Myers. |

Isaiah York

This research is a work in progress, taken from sources of varying reliability. The information should be verified before being relied upon.
Marriage* | Isaiah York married Mary G. Laughlin. |
Birth* | Isaiah York was born circa 1797 in York, York County, MaineG.1 |
Death* | He died of consumption on 18 August 1850 in Newburyport, Essex County, MassachusettsG.2 |
| The parentage of Isaiah York is uncertain. Isaiah is placed as a son of Daniel here based on circumstantial evidence. His death record said he was son of Daniel and Elizabeth. Daniel has a known wife named Lydia so this would be a second (or first) wife for him if Isaiah was his son. Isaiah was said to have been born in York, Maine, and Daniel seems to have lived in nearby Alfred, Maine for a time. Daniel also lived in Newmarket, NH later in life, which is where Isaiah's son Isaiah died.
There is another Daniel and Elizabeth York couple who lived in nearby Durham, NH but he was born in 1791 so too young to be Isaiah's father. |
