BONAZINCA. Lucy P. Bonazinca, 95, passed on to eternal rest, Monday, (Feb. 24, 1997) at an Orlando Hospital. Lucy was predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, Stephen James I; a daughter, Lena Maletta, and a daughter-in-law, Doris Bonazinca. She leaves behind her son, Paul of Winter Springs, FL; a grandson, Stephen James II, his wife Elizabeth, their children Stephen, Andrew, Justin and Ashlee of Port St. Lucie, FL; a granddaughter, Paula Knowlen, her husband Harry, their children Christopher, Mathew, Amy and Kelly of Newington. Burial was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery Tampa, FL. Lucy will truly be missed and will always have a special place in the hearts of those she left behind, and will always be remembered as a gentle and kind Mother, Grandmother and Nana.4 |

| They were likely the parents of an infant child named Stephen Bonazinca who was born and died in 1947. He is buried in St. Mary Cemetery in New Britain with other relatives.
When the 1950 census was taken he and Doris were living at 21 Park Drive in New Britain with his parents. Stephen was unemployed at the time but Doris worked as a short order cook at a luncheonette. She had a high school education and they were living in that house a year earlier.5 |

When the 1940 census was taken she and her husband Leonard were living at 47 Thornily Street in New Britain. He worked as a grinder in a ball bearing factory. On 16 Oct 1940 he filled out his World War 2 draft registration card and at that time they were living at 111 Lawlor Street in New Britain. He was working for the Union Manufacturing Company at 296 Church Street in New Britain and was described as being 5' 4.5"" tall weighing 155 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and a sallow complexion.
The 1950 census found them still at 111 Lawlor Street, in apartment 3. Lena's widowed grandmother Carmela Gibilisco lived alone in apartment 2. Leonard worked as a truck driver at a transportation firm.
She was living in Land O' Lakes, Florida when her father died in Aug 1985. |
