He may have married second Elizabeth Cobb, daughter of James Cobb and Hannah Rich, 2 or 17 Dec 1775 in Barnstable or Truro, Massachusetts^G. It was David's second marriage as well, his first being to Abigail Sturgis. The Barnstable record has a date of 2 Dec and calls the bride "Miss Elizabeth Atkins" while the Truro record says 17 Dec and calls her the "Widow Betty Atkins."^2,3,4

Death*

Col. David Gorham died on 2 January 1786.⁵
