| Her obituary appeared on the Find a Grave website and read as follows:
MRS. FRED B. YORK. Mrs. Olivia J. (Otis) York died at her home in Lee, May 4, after a brief but painful illness of angina pectoris. Mrs. York was born in Lee and had always resided there. She was a most estimable and talented woman, and will be greatly missed in the family circle and in the entire community. Her age was 65 years, 10 months and 22 days, and besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Harold E. York of Tacoma, Wash., and Fred Carl York of Lee. For nearly 13 years Mrs. York had been the Lee correspondent for the ADVERTISER, and never failed to send in her items every week. She was most faithful to the interests of the paper, and took a genuine pleasure in contributing to its columns. Our readers will greatly miss her weekly letters, and we shall find her place hard to fill. The ADVERTISER, as well as her many friends, extend sympathy to the family, who have indeed suffered an irreparable loss. The funeral will take place at the chapel at Lee Hill, Sunday, at 2 o'clock P. M.3 |

- Her record in the typescript copy of Lee burials gives a death date of 2 Jul 1813, which is impossible since she was the wife of John Langdon York born in 1807. But there is a Boston death record for a Hannah York, age 35, died July 1843 (includes a ? in place of the day), and it says she was buried in Rochester, NH, so while not perfect, these seems to be the same person so a year of 1843 will be assumed until someone can examine the actual gravestone.

- Place and parentage from his marriage record. That gives his age as 44 in 1879, which suggests a birth year of 1835, but he was age 22 in the 1850 census and 58 when he died in 1885 so 1827 seems more likely. Parents' names from marriage and death records.
