Birth*Zebulon York was born say 1781.1
Marriage*He married Elizabeth Willey, daughter of Robert Willey and Mary Denbow, on 6 August 1806. Zebulon was from Dover and Betty was from Durham. They were married by the Rev. William Hooper from Madbury but the record doesn't state where they were married. The record gives Betty's last name as Wille, but that should presumably be Willey. Their marriage intention was filed in Durham on 26 Jul 1806.2,3
On 3 Aug 1808 Zebulon York of Durham, NH, mariner won a judgment in court against Nathaniel Meserve of Gilmanton, "husbandman alias cordwainer," in the amount of $28.07 damages and costs of court. This is stated in a 20 Oct 1808 document commanding the county sheriff to collect the sums from Meserve, but never states what the original case was in regard to. [Strafford County Superior Court Case #1808-335]

No further information has yet been found on this Zebulon York beyond the marriage and this legal document. As he was from Dover at the time of his marriage in 1806 he might be the son of the John York who lived in Dover at that time who is himself unattached in this genealogy.

His widow died in Boston in 1871. We know this is the correct Elizabeth York as it mentions her maiden name of Willey and that she was born in Durham, N.H.
