| From the 26 January 1922 Lewiston Evening Journal of Lewiston, Maine: Mrs. Sarah York Loring of Oakland [who] has just celebrated her 92nd birthday at the home of Miss Clara Manter of Oakland, where she has lived for the past few years, is one of the town’s most remarkable women. In the last 10 years, she has made about 25 braided rugs, has made many quilts, does her own dressmaking, knits, and takes a keen interest in all the affairs that are going on. She has been a member of the Free Baptist Church for many years and has taken a great interest in the church work. She is also superintendent of the High Street mission. She was born in Skowhegan, Jan. 24, 1830, the daughter of Levi York and Sarah Whitman York, and was one of 10 children. Two brothers are now living: William York and Joel York of Fairfield. Mrs. Loring has been three times married, her first husband being Joseph Kidder of Skowhegan, to whom she was married on June 26, 1851. By him, she had one son, Henry Kidder, who lives in Arlington, Mass., and who has two sons, Herbert Kidder and Henry Kidder, Jr. Her husband died on his way to California by way of the Panama Canal and was buried in the Pacific Ocean. On June 6, 1858, she married William Dixon of Norridgewock, who died in Texas during the Civil War in 1863. On Dec. 30, 1867, she was united in marriage to Isaac Loring, who died in 1903. Mr. and Mrs. Loring lived for 35 years on a farm in Athens. She is a charter member of Athens Grange and has been treasurer of the grange for many years. Since the death of her husband, she has lived in Oakland..2 |

| Clement's first wife Polly Horn was the daughter of Daniel, who was a brother of the spouses of Noah's siblings Levi and Anna, and sister to his brother Noah's wife Elizabeth.
Early Families of Newfield, Maine (p.755) states that he married second Mrs. Betty Littlefield, their intention dated 8 Nov 1814. No actual record for this has been found. The book cited another researcher for this information rather than an actual source so it should be considered unconfirmed. If he did marry her then his first wife Polly likely was deceased by that time. He did have a 50-59 year old woman living with him in the 1840 census who could be either woman, but he had remarried by the 1850 census.
Clement was much older than his last wife Rosanna/Rosina/Roxanna. When the 1850 census was taken he was 65 and she was 19.
He lived in Fairfield, Maine in 1840 and Sebasticook, Maine in 1850. He and Rosanna had four children born between 1850 and 1864 on the Family Search family tree: Sarah Jane, Sumner A., Jefferson Davis, and Simon. |

Death* | He died of 'consumption heredity' on 28 May 1861 in Tunbridge, Orange County, VermontG.2 |
| Because his death record states that he was born in Nottingham, NH to Benjamin and Sarah York, he is placed in the family of Benjamin and Sally (Batchelder) York, who were married in Nottingham in 1807 and lived in Northwood in 1810 with one son under the age of ten, which fits. But that is the only evidence seen thus far to put him into that family. |
