	Upon his father's death Daniel was under the custody of William and Elizabeth (Lincoln) Holloway, after William's death in 1608 Elizabeth married Daniel's brother John. All of these families (Alefounder, Holloway, Chapman, Barker, Woodgate, Lincoln) lived in the area of East Bergholt, Suffolk and were clothiers and close friends. They seem to have been quite wealthy owning large amounts of property and having control of large amounts of money.

Death*	John died in 1583. His will was dated 16 February 1582 and probated 31 October 1583.2
	He was of Sibton, Suffolk, England. Register article note says: "1612 visitation of Suffolk, "Chapman alias Barker, of Sibton" pedigree (Metcalfe, Visitations of Suffolk [note 22], 122) and the Chapman pedigree in The Visitation of London Anno Domini 1633, 1634, and 1635 (Publicaitons of the Harleian Society, Visitation Series, 15 [London, 1880], 151)."2 His will was extracted in Waters, Genalogical Gleanings in England, 2:1157.
