St. George in the East, London, England
St George in the East was a civil and ecclesiastical parish created in 1729 from the ancient parish of Stepney, covering the riverside area east of the Tower; the parish name remained unchanged while its county designation shifted to the County of London in 1889 and to Greater London in 1965.
